Cryolipolysis fat reduction
KOSMAGIC | Cryolipolysis fat reduction
Fat reduction using cold temperature
Anyone who previously wanted to reduce stubborn fatty bulges after a successful diet usually only had liposuction as a tried and tested solution. With cryolipolysis – also known as fat freezing or CoolSculpting® – you now have the opportunity to get to grips with these fat deposits using cold temperatures and gently sculpting the body without surgical intervention.
What is cryolipolysis and what is it used for?
The fat freezing method developed in the USA works with the effects of cold. As early as the 1970s, Harvard University scientists discovered that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the rest of the tissue and can die off with targeted hypothermia. This patented high-tech procedure for reducing fat tissue makes use of this scientific knowledge. With targeted exposure to cold, fat cells are selectively frozen and destroyed. A specially developed device cools the fatty tissue down to -9ºC without damaging the surrounding tissue. The fat in the cells crystallises and the cell membranes are permanently damaged as a result. The damaged cells send messenger substances to the organism and the body begins to gradually break down the destroyed fat cells. Natural metabolic processes of the lymphatic system transport the cells to the liver.
How cryolipolysis works
Fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the rest of the tissue. The treatment is carried out by using an applicator that is placed on the affected area of the body. The device creates a slight vacuum, thereby slightly lifting the fat tissue and placing it between two cooling plates. Heat is gradually withdrawn from the fatty tissue. Sensors linked to a sophisticated control system closely monitor the cooling process. By cooling down, the vital energy is withdrawn from the fat cells.
What parts of the body can be treated with cryolipolysis?
The fat freezing procedure is used to treat localised fat deposits, which are e.g. on the neck, upper arms, abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. The method can be used particularly effectively on love handles.
How the treatment works
In a preliminary discussion, we will clarify the possibilities and limits of this innovative treatment method with you. The treatment is painless and does not require anaesthesia. A detailed analysis of the fat deposits precedes the fight against them in a precise and targeted manner. We accurately mark the body regions to be treated and cover the remaining skin area with a membrane that effectively protects it from the effects of the cold. The actual treatment begins once the applicator is placed on your skin. The device creates a gentle vacuum – similar to a suction cup. This lifts the fatty tissue in the marked skin area, before the applicator cools the fatty tissue in a controlled and gradual manner down to below zero.
A fat freezing treatment takes approx. 30 to 60 minutes per session and can be repeated several times if necessary. However, it is advisable to wait a certain period of time, as noticeable results are not immediately visible and largely depend on your individual metabolism. The treatment is usually completed after 6 to 12 weeks and the final result is visible.
Who is a good candidate for the cryolipolysis treatment?
The method used by KOSMAGIC is ideal for anyone with normal diet and exercise habits; and with clearly defined, moderate fat deposits that persist despite diets and exercise. It is particularly effective in reducing fat deposits in problem areas such as the abdomen, hips, buttocks or thighs.
Severely overweight people cannot be helped with this procedure. To ensure optimal results, a detailed consultation will always take place before your treatment.
The desire for velvety soft skin without annoying hairs, stubble and, above all, without constant shaving or epilation is in vogue – among women and men alike.
